Unsure about how long your almonds will stay fresh when you freeze them? Doubting how many weeks you can freeze your bread, without it falling apart when you defrost it? Or maybe you want to know what the best way is to store bananas. Truthful Food’s Refrigerator and Freezer Food Storage Chart will come in handy in every kitchen!

All the recipes on Truthful Food, list a shelf-life indication in the ”good to know” section. You will also find the best way to store your creation in that same section.

When you make food, and you are not sure about how long it will stay fresh, the best way to make an estimate is by looking at the ingredients you use. Take the ingredient with the shortest shelf-life and apply that shelf-life to the final product.

Is there anything missing in the chart? Leave a comment and I will make sure to add it!

*These shelf-lives and storage methods apply to food, that is still in its unopened packaging unless mentioned otherwise. Once you open the packaging or do not store the food as indicated, the self-life will change. How you handle the products while transporting them from the store to your house, can change the shelf-life as well. (Example: you let your groceries sit in a hot car for 20 minutes.)

**Do not wash your fruits and vegetables until you are about to use them. If you wash them in advance, they will spoil faster.

Tip: If you want to keep close track of your food’s possible expiration dates, write the date you freeze it, open it etc., on the packaging.
