Ingredients
- 15 g Cinnamon Hearts Candies - [See good to know section.]
- 50 g Dark Chocolate - [See good to know section.]
Other things you need
- Food Scale
- Bowl
- Pan
- Stove
- Cutting Knife
- Cutting Board
- 5 Large Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter - [See good to know section.]
- Parchment Paper
- Food Processor or Mortar and Pestle
Instructions
- Weigh your ingredients.
- Melt your chocolate. Are you not sure about how to do that? [Check out my article!]
- Put a sheet of parchment paper on your cutting board (or any other portable flat surface) and place your cookie cutter on the parchment paper.
- Pour the melted chocolate into the cookie cutter. Make sure the chocolate is divided evenly.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon candy hearts over the chocolate.
- Place the cutting board and everything on top of it in your refrigerator for 45 minutes or until the chocolate has set.
- Once the Chocolate Cinnamon Heart has set, you can push it out of the cookie cutter.
- Your Chocolate Cinnamon Heart is now ready to enjoy!
Good to know
- Storing: Make sure to store your chocolate(s) in an airtight container in the refrigerator if you are not eating all of it right away.
- Shelf life: The chocolate(s) will stay good for several months if stored correctly.
- Chocolate: The higher the quality of the chocolate you use is, the better your creations will taste.
- Cookie cutter sizes: You can use many different sizes of cuttie cutters. When you do, check how much chocolate you will need before you start. You can do this by putting the cookie cutter(s) on a flat surface and filling them with chopped up chocolate or chocolate chips in a way that covers the entire inner surface. There is no need to be very precise. Just make sure you use enough chocolate to create chocolates that won’t crack. They should be at least half a centimetre thick.
- Cookie cutters: Make sure that your cookie cutters are not deformed. It is important that the entirety of the cutting edges makes contact with the cutting board. If not, the chocolate will run.
- Vegan: To make this recipe vegan, use vegan chocolate and candy.
- Organic: To make this recipe organic, only use organic ingredients.

Both when buying food or when making your own, it is important to inform yourself about the nutritional value. Have a look at the nutrition label, learn about your serving size and what nutrients this product will bring to the table.
If you want to compare different products and their values, it is easier to look at a label where the values are given per 100 grams. This way you get a better understanding of the categories certain products belong to when it comes to nutritional values. Is this a product with a high sugar content? Does it contain a lot of fibre? How does this product measure up if I am looking to stick to a low-sodium diet?
Keep in mind that if you are looking to eat healthily, you should not just avoid eating fat and/or sugar. We need both in our daily diet. Make sure however to be aware of where you get your lipids and sugars from. As a rule of thumb, you could say; variation is very important in your diet and in general, the closer your food is to come straight from the source, the better.
